Unit two describes different parts of speech and what is needed to create complete sentences. Some of the main parts of speech are; Nouns and Verbs. The nouns are important to a sentence because they are the person, place, thing or object that one is describing in the sentence. Only using a noun would make the sentence simple but someone could make a sentence more interesting by adding adjectives which describe the nouns. Verbs are also important to form a basic sentence because its role is to explain what is happening or what the subject is doing. Adverbs could be added to a sentence to describe with more depth how the noun in the sentence is doing the verb. Unit two also talks about why the English language is hard to learn. Writing a simple sentence can be easy, but when more completed sentences re being written it may become hard to a student to write a sentence with all the nouns, verbs, adverbs, etc. into the correct place in order for the sentence to make sense. The writer must first decide if they are writing about the past, present or future. This would change what form of a word the writer would use. This can be confusing since most of the common verbs are irregular and have no rules as to how to write them depending on the past, present or future; it is simply just by listening to the way it sounds in a sentence, whether the sentence flows or not.
