Teach English in Loftus - TESOL Courses
No matter what kind of Vocabularies and language structure we teach, we have to carefully decide what to teach, which is really important for students. first of all ,it cannot be too easy or too difficult. For new vacabulary ,It depends their different levels. Although they can usually understand many more words than they can actively use, we had better choose the vocabulary which Is similar to student's own native languages and English words they have already known. For language structures are usually determined by their different levels.
For engage stage, we need to use some interesting ways to elicit the new vocabulary and sentence structures, which can motivate their English- learning interest, for example, using pictures and drawings is an visual way to let students remember target language easily and usefully.
For Study stage, gap fills, sentence building, and sentence order activities are important for language structure, it is necessary for students to know some basic structures so that they can use them to have basic communication with partners. Besides , matching exercises, word searches and crosswords are super effective for students to learn new vocabularies well.
Last but not least, for activity stage, we will integrate all vocabularies and language structures in fun activities to make students have a practice. We can use Role-play and debate to make them fully involved in all activities to express their ideas meaningfully instead of just learning English knowledges.
