Classroom ManagementClassroom management is one of the greatest concern as a teacher. This is especially true, due to the fact that i have less teaching experience. But in the Following paragraphs i would talk about ways i decide to empower myself as a young teacher with some of the powerful tools i would use to improve classroom management, because after all, teaching and learning really should be fun. The foundation of effective classroom management is to develop good relationship and rapport with each and every students . Been a teacher my base role is to take appropriate charge of the classroom and determine what goes on in my classroom. Second only in importance, for good classroom management, is to give the students genuine praise and more praise for the task they put their effort to complete, and thirdly by choosing a polite language of choice. Building a healthy relationship and good rapport with students, by creating an atmosphere that would allow students to communicate freely, expressing thoughts and areas of difficulty during class hour or school hours. re gaining their confidence that i'm willing to listen to them and lead them through their learning process, i think will greatly enhance my ability to have effective classroom management, treating all students equally with respect while responding quickly to miss behavior and consistently will also enhance my classroom management. But i must not forget to have a discipline plan in place prior the start of a new class. No matter what i plan it must have well thought out expectations and consequences. Consequences to deal with both positive and negative behavior from students. I have notice that when you give verbal praise to a child - make them really feel it. When you praise a child you make them feel your appreciation by telling them exactly WHAT they did and Why it was good. I intend to bring this live into my classroom by giving true praise to students, which should come from a genuine note when they put effort into something or have managed to complete something they wouldn't normally manage. When i give thoughtful attention to a student's work, it demonstrates that i recognize their work or improved behavior. Such deep appreciation builds self-esteem and encourages continued progress. Using a polite language of choice, from my point of view, and from what i have learnt from TEFl course material, as part of my personal aim, is to improve my instructions by demonstrating rather than using verbal instruction, then in my class Instead of telling student to do something i would explain to them, the way will like to them to do something. This polite subtle change of language and attitude will incredibly transfer my message and i am sure it will produce positive results. An example would help me clarify my point, By explaining to Sayaka "I would like you to choose to sit down quietly", as opposed to saying "sit down quietly". For now these three steps can be an incredibly effective way for me to improve classroom management. With these step i might be happy and also be able to create goof rapport with my students.
