This unit taught the important teaching elements for when your teaching the productive skills of speaking and writing. It gave examples for the Engage, Study and Activate phase for each the speaking and writing lessons. It also gave examples of British English and American English words that can have the same meaning and pronounced the same but spelled different. I feel that I learned strategies when teaching speaking and writing and variety of games that are fun and helpful when teaching.Unit 17 provides a detailed list of different teaching aids and materials that can be used within a TEFL classroom. The unit then goes on to discuss the best uses for these materials and how you should as a teacher. How to be prepared to use them yourself and incorporate them into a lesson in order to create a fun and engaging lesson. Unit 17 gives a long list of online resources for teaching methods, dictionaries and learning activities and groups, which can be accessed at a later date.
