This unit is about the theories, methods and techniques of ESL lessons. It introduces to the various kinds, lists example structures and gives detailed examples for activities which can be used. I learnt their definition, distinction and examples. Besides I got to know which methods are out of state and which should be commonly used due to modern theories. At the end I got to know about ways of correcting the students in the different stages of a lesson and got introduced to some examples.It is important to plan your lessons, because it has a number of functions as it creates a logical sequence for your lesson, it is a working document which you can refer back to, it forms a record and it can be used as a 'covering' for your lesson when you are not available to do it yourself. There is a general structure for a lesson plan which you can follow and you can monitor or review yourself as teacher on how you with the lesson and make improvements or changes with the next lesson.
