Unit 8: Future Tenses covered the future tenses, their forms and usages. The complexity of the future tense makes it a challenging tense for Asian learners of English. The video material and the PDF will be a good resource for me in the future as I teach on the future tense. It has been my observation that Asian natives such as the Japanese, find it challenging to understand the usage of present tense elements when speaking about the future.Unit 7 focuses on the three parts of a language (particularly English): vocabulary, grammar (structure), and function. Vocabulary teaching must be prepared in accordance with students' English level to begin with and motivation in learning English (such as for businessman or school children). The unit also gives suggestions on how to introduce the three parts of language through the ESA methodology (Straight arrow, Boomerang, or Patchwork).
