In this unit, I have learnt the advantages and disadvantages of the various seating plans as well as students grouping. I am inspired by the advantaged and disadvantages of TTT as well. ESL teachers are supposed to provide the students with a source of natural and authentic English which is geared to students? ability. Rapport between teachers and students also counts if the teachers and students have a very harmonious relationship in class, which will make the class lively and effective.This Unit provided a very clear example of an unsuccessful and a successful class. The lesson planning for both classes was the same, but the teacher had a very different attitude in each class. The confusion I had regarding the lesson planning mentioned in the test for Unit 9 were clarified with this unit, and it is immensely helpful to be able to watch a lesson take place rather than simply reading a lesson plan or studying the exercises or activities that could be used for such a lesson.
