the unit addresses the different needs of different ESL/EFL learner groups, and also tackles ESP. I had an interesting experience with English for Specific Purposes as I previously enrolled in a summer course through University of Oregon on that field. I chose both Tourism and World History as my specific purposes for the course, and i was amazed by what I could contribute to these two fields of study. Teaching individual learners is also a helpful area which was presented through this unit.This unit covered an overview of the various types of language learning theories, methods, and techniques. While none of the techniques are necessarily best, teachers need to understand their students' situation well in order to apply the correct technique. This unit particularly emphasized the importance of including each of the following elements: Engage, Study, and Activate. The unit also discussed the importance of correcting students in the proper fashion and at the appropriate time.
