This was a valuable unit on effective classroom management. It covered some common mistakes teachers may be likely to make. In my own experience teaching abroad, these things were all very true. Small things such as classroom seating, teacher gestures/expressions, and movement around the classroom can all have a tremendous effect on the students' mood, desire to learn, and respect for the teacher. Creating a good classroom environment is often the first crucial step toward effective teaching.Learning about the sound structure of language requires covering a lot of ground. Some of the key topics are the anatomy, physiology, and acoustics of the human vocal tract; the nomenclature for the vocal articulations and sounds used in speech, as represented by the International Phonetic Alphabet; hypotheses about the nature of phonological features and their organization into segments, syllables and words; the way that features like tone align and spread relative to consonants and vowels.
