This unit contained a lot of extremely important information about maintaining classroom discipline. Even if a teacher speaks perfect English classroom discipline is still an important concept to understand. A few important disciplinary factors can make the difference between a successful and unsuccessful class. Reducing teacher talk time, building a rapport with students, and correcting students at the appropriate times are all important factors in creating an exciting and well-behaved class.One of the things I found most interesting in this lesson was the use of a horse shoe like classroom structure. I've always seen in done in many classes but I had never really thought of the reason until today. It never saw it as a less dominating presentation of the classroom setting. The reasons are quite obvious, as to being in the middle but also it allows for easy pair work and eye contact with all students. I think in the future if the class size and room allows it, I will use pair work.
