This unit covers the four present tenses in the English language - present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous. Each tense is explored in terms of its structure, usages, typical student errors and teaching ideas for the activate stage. I was familiar with the grammar points of this unit, but still they were a good structured reminder. What I most gained from this unit are the teaching ideas and examples.This unit was somewhat challenging. However, I have come to re-learn what I have missed out on over the years as it relates to 'tenses'. I had to read indepth repeatedly in order to fully grasp the concepts outlined.
Again, re-learning the four aspects as it relates to the tenses has further helped me to understand how these parts of speech work in a sentence. Furthermore, I am far more confident where teaching the different parts of speech.
