The relationship between the teacher and the students is crucial. It could be the difference between a good and a bad experience for both parties. As human beings, we need empathy in order to communicate more effectively. The teacher?s attitude and method automatically lead to difference students responses. As it is shown in the videos, the first class was a nightmare for everybody whereas the second times was meaningfulness and interesting.This unit was very interesting in discussing the dynamic of the classroom. The discussion of the physical class layout and how that influences the method of learning that will be implemented was helpful. While much of the information may be common sense to some, I enjoyed hearing what constitutes rapport, as well as how to control behavior. I certainly have made some of these mistakes, but now I have a reference to support me in the future.
