Encouraging the students to use their language skills to project their thoughts in a creative way and also to ensure that it is correct requires careful balancing of the lesson. When the students learn the grammer it is important to repeat it to ensure that it is the correct use and this is the foucus from the study stage. When the student feels comfortable with it, they would be able to use it in a more creative way during the activate stage.Unit 8 covered the seven most common future tenses and, as with the present and past, we saw the form, the usages, typical problems, and some activate ideas. It was useful to see that predictions without evidence and spontaneous decisions called for the future simple while predictions with evidence and planned decisions needed the `going to? future. The examples of modal verbs (can, might, etc.) and adverbial expressions were also useful.
