I learned a lot about course books in this unit. I did not know about course books. I think it is important to use course books because it allows the teacher to have that extra help when he or she needs it. It is also important to not fully rely on course books. A good teacher should be able to develop lessons based off the course book and cater them towards the individual students. A teacher who fully relies on the course book can cause problems by making the class too predictable and boring. It is important to use a combination of both created and authentic materials.
