This unit covers different types of class types that an EFL teacher might encounter, including beginners, young learners, monolingual or multilingual groups, and business clients. Teaching a class of young children would be a completely different experience to teaching a group of professionals. Although using the same methods and techniques (catered to the needs of the class), you would have to change your demeanor and presentation dramatically.I like reading about ones receptive skills. This unit made me think about how others would understand with the pre-existent knowledge of the true understanding in whats being said and whats understood. Using special skills of predictive skills, scanning, skimming, detail information and deduction of content I would think this would be used in a higher class level. The use of and ESA straight arrow lesson I would think be the most effective here.
