This unit really taught us about the seven most common features in the future tense system. I realized through this chapter that having the students memorize the different ones through drilling techniques really helps the students learn them. English is my first language and I found this to be very difficult. The varied usages had me confused when learning one from the other. Repeating and point form notes really helped me get through this unit.The unit presents the receptive skills of reading and listening, and how the ESA approach is used in teaching these skills. The video was helpful in further explaining the differences and similarities that a teacher needs to be aware of in preparing lessons, so that students stay engaged through out the course. Understanding authentic and non-authentic texts for class lessons is important in determining the appropriate reading materials to use.
