From this unit I got some ideas for teaching the pronunciation of individual sounds, we can use some activities at the study stage, e.g. peer dictation, your own mouth and drawing a diagram of the mouth. Different stress will affect the meaning of the sentences. For example, He didn't mean to break your window. When we stress different words, different each time, it will have different meaning. So we need to be careful of where to put the stress.As a native speaker of English sometimes you do not realise how difficult some aspects of learning a new language can be until you prepare you teach it, this unit i came to understand that Reading and Listening is a key for teaching. Pre-existing knowledge and not thinking twice when reading for myself I now see that its very difficult for foreigners to get the gist of vocabulary, so it will take careful and patient lessons to help the students.
