I would say having read this my personal opinion is that having a course book is good for beginning teachers but later on I believe flexibility in lessons and content would need to be implemented to improve the classroom environment otherwise it may become too dull or as this unit mentions too predictable and thus boring with when it comes to purely using the course book or materials. Not only that, but with the prices it is quite difficult to do.In this unit, I learnt about different types of exams including practice test, diagnostic test, progress test, placement test and external exam. I learnt that a practice test is used as a tool to place a student in an appropriate level in the beginning while diagnostic test is more extensive than a placement test. I learnt that a progress test is used to track the progress of the student while a practice test is a preparation for an external exam.
