This unit explores the kinds of groups language teachers encounter. The different groups include teaching beginners, teaching individuals, teaching children, teaching English to business people and teaching monolingual and multilingual classes. Each group has its own needs that the teacher needs to measure before the lessons start and this will provide a beginning point for all lesson planning. Avoid using the native language of students in class.In this unit I have learnt many new things. Firstly, I don't recall having ever learnt the difference between particular types of noun before. Therefore, I've never been aware that there are such things as 'countable noun', 'uncountable noun', and 'proper noun' -I've just naturally known obviously (being British) which nouns are in which category, without being familiar with the names. I've also learnt about definite articles and indefinite articles.
