This unit gives us information about productive skills, speaking and writing. It gives the descriptions of different speaking activities based on accuracy and fluency, how to encourage students to interact and gives the example of a free speaking lesson, gives advice how to act during the lesson. The second part of the unit is devoted to writing skills and presents the example of a typical creative writing activity lesson. I borrowed ideas for communicative games which I intend to apply to my lessons.In this unit, I learned about reported speech and conditionals. I learned that there are five types of conditionals: zero, first, second, third and mixed. I learned about games that I can use to teach the conditionals to the students. I learned that students often confuse the second and third conditional and the third and mixed conditional. I learned that in reported speech, time is shifted one step backwards. This is referred to as backshifting. I learned that pronouns also change in reported speech.
