In this lesson I continued my focus on the differences in accuracy v. fluency. A key point to be made is that accuracy should be developed predominantly in the Study phase, through drilling and choral controlled responses. On the other hand, fluency based lessons should exist in the Activate stage, paying particular attention on allowing the students to be more flexible and creative with language. In fluency activities, the need for accuracy takes a back seat to the effectiveness and flow of information.I enjoyed this unit, there were good information about teaching beginners, which is probably going to be my work at some point of my teaching career. It?s really different teaching situation if you compare it to any other lessons because student?s don?t know anything about the language. You have to start from the beginning. Also there was good points for teaching different kind of groups in this unit. The basic job is always the same, but you always have to modify your lessons for different groups.
