This unit was very informative and it helped me understand the importance of teaching new English learners about the main aspects of the language. It is important that the teacher plans in advance in order to properly educate the students about the importance of Vocabulary, Structures and Functions of the English language. The main challenge would be to balance all activities, however it can be achieved through keeping goals in mind so that the students know what they need to learn by the end of the class.This final unit covered potential areas of difficulty that a teacher could come across in the classroom. The unit covered a range of topics; from dealing with large classes, or reluctant students in the classroom, to how to make the first lesson with a new group of students as engaging as possible. I like the idea of using games and ice breakers to build rapport with students. it is an obvious solution, but it really is one of the most effective methods of building a lasting relationship with new students.
