This unit purpose is to present the different equipment that teachers use in a classroom to make the class more entertaining or engage the student in the class. Some of the equipment used nowadays in classrooms are whiteboard, an OHP, visual aids, cd player, DVD's, dictionaries, etc. Since technology has advanced nowadays, it has taken over the school system, but has helped in many ways, like for example, teachers nowadays prefer whiteboards over chalkboard, because they are easier to use and have multiple uses.The unit demonstrated various teaching materials that can be used in teaching English. The use of crossword puzzles, flash cards, and pictures can complement the coursebook making learning both interesting and satisfying. Variety and a comprehensive coverage of syllabus material is critical. The various factors that relate to the use of a coursebook were highlighted.
This ensures that teachers use any materials at their disposal critically rather than slavishly.
