This unit talked about the different types of skills utilized when learning a language: reading, listening, speaking, and writing. It focused on the receptive skills (reading and listening) and the different ways that teachers can cater their lessons to students needs and their abilities related to these skills. I found the concept of \"pre-teaching\" vocabulary before a reading particularly helpful, as I have seen many students lose interest in a reading because they don't understand some of the more complex words.In this unit I learned about the types of tests that you can give to the students in order to evaluate them correctly. Also, I learned that the students can evaluate their course and help us understand how they react about what we do. There are different tests that can certificate your level, and they are standard and internationalyl accepted. I learned the difference between the 4 types of assements that I can give throughout the year to evaluate level, progress,knowledge and help them practice from external exams.
