This unit was helpful in learning about general classroom management. Simple things like the setup of a classroom are often overlooked and it was helpful to learn different approaches to seating arrangements as well as placing students correctly according to different characteristics. The rapport between students and teachers is critical to maintaining a positive experience in any classroom and so the sections about eye contact and gestures as well as voice pinpoint important factors to creating that meaningful bond.The unit presented different methods and techniques which are used in the learning process. I believe that the Communicative Language Teaching and Community Language Learning meet the students' needs well, as they stress the importance of using the language in real life situations and focus on students' experiences. Students need to be motivated and have the opportunity to make use of the language. The 'ESA' method involves the students, makes them focus on the language and encourages them to use the language freely.
