Unit 4 discussed the differences between authentic and no non-authentic materials and the advantages and disadvantages of using each. In addition, the material covered the two types of business textbooks, lesson planning (ESA format), web resources for teaching business, and using the internet to find information to use in the classroom. Moreover, the unit taught me that it is not good to ask students 'Do you understand?'. Instead, you should use follow up questions to ensure that students understand the material.I have learned that the need to build rapport with the students is as important as the arrangement of the classroom desks. I as a teacher have the responsibility of using my influence as a factor in the classroom to be one conducive to learning. To create the environment necessary for a successful and memorable class.
