The complexity of this unit (pronunciation and Phonology) and learning about the phonetic library was very overwhelming and felt a little like learning a completely different language. As a native english speaker, this unit is something that i have never thought about when considering mastery of the English language as it comes naturally. However, i can see how this can be one of the most difficult aspects of the English language to learn if it is not your first language.
