Teach English in Basildon - TESOL Courses
Productive skills which are speaking and writing are both used for the purpose of communication. I agree that writing is probably the more neglected skill than speaking. I think students will generally gravitate towards being better with one skill than another and sometimes this could be cultural. Students should be encouraged to excel in both. Productive skills are categorized as speaking and writing. Speaking encompasses fluency and accuracy and are equally important to work on. There are activities which are catered to both which the teacher can use to ensure that they are equally tackled. Writing is the skill least practiced in the classroom, but its importance to overall communication cannot be ignored. I learnt that some languages do not have grammar! it would be quite difficult for a student to learn something so new. I learnt some excellent examples of games that can be used in the classroom to engage students. I learnt that writing is one of the neglected skills in teaching english.
