In this section, I learned about the different tests that are given within an EFL course. I learned that Before taking the course, students take a placement or diagnostic test in order for the teacher to understand what level the student is at before the course commences. Furthermore, throughout the course, there are progress tests periodically given in order for the teacher to see if the students are learning in accordance to the lesson plans. Also, I learned that there are practice tests that are a way for students to prepare for external tests, such as the ESOL or the TOEFL.
