I appreciated the activate ideas and activities that this unit provided. I think that doing a journal activity would be a wonderful way to help students think about events that occurred in the past. I can still see how students would find the past perfect continuous tense to be challenging, so I would want to make sure that they really had a solid understanding of the perfect tense before moving on. I would want to make sure that the the different definitions and examples that I used would be extremely clear and obvious.The receptive skills, reading and listening, were the two main topics of unit 11. A very important part for me to know was how to engage the students when it comes to reading and listening. The example of a typical receptive skills lesson gave me a better understanding. Therefore I've learnt some new ideas and techniques on how to engage students.
Besides that, I've learnt about the specific skills that are required, and the basic keys to success. This will definitely help when making lesson plans and in the classroom.
