Unit #18 was dedicated to grammar. In particular, it was about modals, phrasal verbs and passive voice. There are several modal verbs, such as: ought to, can, could, may, might, shall, should, will, would, must, have to, have go to, need to and needn't. Every verb has its specific usage. The unit taught me about the passive voice. Also, I didn't know much about the relative clauses prior studying this unit. Moreover, it was new to me that phrasal verbs can be intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable.In this unit, I learnt about the tools I can use to make the lesson more interesting and effective such as video camera, OHP (Overhead Projector), videos, dvds. I also learnt what to pay attention while using these aids. I should check whicever electronic aid I will use in advance so that I will not have any problem during the lesson and avoid the time waste.
With the help of this unit, now I know that I shouldn't use capital letters unnecessarily since it is difficult to read it and consequently, it may be distractive.
