This unit was about pronunciation and its importance.I learned about intonation and stress in sentences and how they can change the meaning of the same sentence.I learned about the ways that sounds can join together,linking,sound changing,extra lettering and sound dropping.I also learned phonemic symbols and articulation, different parts of mouth and larynx used for speaking.Also I learned about bilabial,labial, dental,palatal,alveolar,velar and glottal sounds.
The videos were also very useful and helped me to grasp the idea.Most of the teaching resources represented in the the text were familiar to me since I have used them in my own lessons. What I learnt were online resources such as the links listed in the end of the text. I found some very useful websites that I can utilize in the future. As mentioned in the text as well, it is important for the teacher to have a back-up plan in case the technology in the classroom doesn't work. Since the resources at different schools can unfortunately vary a lot, I never count on the computer etc to work.
