The unit 16 teaches the main grammar points regarding conditionals and reported speech which I consider to be one of the greatest problems, faced by students, while learning a second language. This two topics are of huge importance because it will, in the future, be a great part of the student?s daily vocabulary. People are always reporting something and being able to, not only understand them, but also be a part of the conversation, will allow the students to place themselves into a better social position within the community.It is very important to tailor each class to the students, and to know their needs. Age group, proficiency, and language goals are all very important aspects of the this process. There are different ways to gather this information. If one is teaching children, it is important to talk to the parents. It is also important to learn a bit more about their lives outside of class and to discuss study methods and how to set rules so that their personal life does not interfere with their ability to learn English and participate in class.
