This unit wasn't to difficult. I like to alternate the use of authentic and created materials to make the classes more different and keep the attection of students. At the present I don't use coursebooks but It gave me a good vision about how to choose one and the pros and cons of it Unit 14 pertains the use of course boos and materials with the course books consisting of the books design for the classroom use for individual and supplementary work or homework, et cetera. Whilst the materials discussed in the unit are divided into two - authentic materials and created materials. I also learned the advantages and disadvantages of either Type. This was a good subject to reflect upon in considering what materials to use in a classroom. Before this lesson, I had the assumption that the textbook was the primary, and possibly, only source to be used in a classroom. I can see the advantages of having a variety of materials.
