Unit fourteen focuses on books and materials that are used in the classroom. It highlights the advantages and disadvantages of using coursebooks, furthermore, this unit gives an explanation and examples of authentic and created materials which can be used in the class to supplement a coursebook which could become predictable. My knowledge of course materials has grown through this unit as I have learnt more about engaging my students while making their experience, of learning english, more interesting through the use of a combination of authentic and created materials that can be used to supplement a coursebook . I have also learnt that there are a number of factors to consider when choosing a coursebook.
