The unit explains different methods of evaluating the students' learning, so the teacher can keep track of every student's weaknesses and strengths. Different types of testing are: - Placement test (Before commencing a course) - Diagnostic test (given at the start of a course) - Progress test (regurarly to what they have retained) - Practice test (to prepare for the external exam) - External exam It is important to evaluate students both through tutorials, by the students themselves, and through testing, to be able to know their needs, plan future lessons, and see what did work (and can work on the future) and what did not work when the students were taught this.
