I think tests are going to be one of the most difficult areas for me. I have always been a weak test taker and when I was a child I had a lot of anxiety about them. I would hate to see those fears mirrored in my students and think it was my fault. Test should ask for in depth processing and understanding according to Bloom's Taxonomy. As such, most of the tests that I would make would be more comprehension and real life application as opposed to just drilling vocabulary and multiple choice. Age will also be a great decider in the kinds of tests I will administer as how young children are will completely dictate their memorization, abstract thinking, and problem solving abilities. Additionally, I will be curious to see how exactly my school wants me to test. It is unlikely tests are universally similar so to see what South korean school curriculums ask of their students will be interesting. It will also show me if they commonly teach to please an external test such as the state mastery test in the US, or if they are not confined by these standards for their student's education.
