This lesson gave an overview of the elements of phonology. I found the overview of the international phonetic alphabet useful, as it gives structure to my understanding of english sounds. I would imagine that if I am working in a specific country I would tailor my lessons to common pronunciation issues (e.g. Arabic speakers tend to conflate /p/ and /b/).
