In this chapter, I learned about the various course books and lesson materials one can use in the classroom. Authentic materials, while not always suited to the class level or unit being taught, provide students with real world opportunities to practice english and build confidence in their language abilities. Created materials enable teachers to flex their creative muscles and provide students with fun, level-appropriate materials. Course books, while probably the most appropriate materials for students, should not be the only material used in the classroom because it makes the classroom mundane and does not Foster creativity.
