This unit examined pronunciation and phonology within the english language. It provided a basic overview of phonology, including intonation, stress, and articulation. The unit also explored the International Phonetic Alphabet and it's usefulness to English language learners. Throughout the lesson, teaching ideas were provided for different topics. I found the review of articulation location and manner particularly helpful. I have worked with students on pronunciation Before, but not studied these terms before. Having the different sounds explained in more tangible terms helped me to learn new things, even as a native speaker!
