I have found all your lesson useful for the class room except this lesson. I have been teaching ESL for the past ten years and I have never seen the use of volume and pitch used in the class room. There are much easlier way for the students to learn the sounds of english words. This unit obviously provides so many academic vocabulary about pronunciation and phonology that I never learn. Therefore itÂ’s really useful. I now more understand about pronunciation and phonology teaching. Intonation and stress are two important things in English, I learn more about the meaning changes when intonation and stress are changed. This Unit 13 covers teachings on Pronuciation and Phonology. It was very helpful to study the diagram and the terminologies to enhence my understanding in phonology. I have to confess that It was not easy to read a phonetic script but through this unit's study I realize I need to learn the International Phonetic Alphabets.
