I have gained a deeper and more distinct understanding of the different types of students I can encounter in one class based on their knowledge of English. These distinctions will help me be more mindful of different learning needs based on individual knowledge level. Coming from a Western country, cultural sensitivity would be highly important. Understand the need to be aware of cultural differences and to bridge the differences will better accommodate student learning in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment. I gained perspective on what qualities a good educator should possess in delivering information to various age groups of students. This will help me reflect on my areas of improvement.
