This unit deals with conditions and reported speech.Conditional statements are sentences containing,expressions such as 'when and if ' which refers to the past,present and future possibilities.They are usually made up of two clauses.I was also admonished on the zero conditional,which is a sentence with facts that are rather irrefutable.There are four types of conditionals,first,second,third and mixed.Typical errors and mistakes were equally looked into with teaching ideas given.I also learned about the intricacies of direct speech and reported speech.There are many conditional forms that I was not familiar with even though I use them everyday in the english language. I learned about how each of the different forms are created and their uses. I learned some teaching ideas such as; split sentences, complete the conditional, chain, conditionals, role play, and what a question. The unit shows how reporting speech of another person changes from the direct speech from the person. When reporting pronounces also change to denote who is speaking and can also change based on the context of the conversation.
