I found this unit very informative in terms of breaking down the various methods and techniques for language study. Most of these I have been exposed to either as a teacher or as a student but never really knew the appropriate term for the actions. The most helpful part of this unit for me was with respect to corrections. I am a believer of praise so that part was not new, however, the instruction on when and how to best correct was most useful. During the reading of the material, I found my mind was picturing me with students actually working with the games, etc.Unit 15 explains the benefit of evaluation and testing for both teachers and students. It discusses how student evaluation of their own progress allows students to see where to improve. Also, student evaluation informs the teacher of how to construct lessons to better help student's strengthen their accruacy and fluency in the English language. This unit also discusses how testing builds lanugage proficiency. It always defines the different examinations available that as teachers we need to know about in order to prepare our students internally within the classroom.
