This unit goes over vocabulary, grammar structures and language functions. It shows many examples of how to use these devices and language components within the ESA framework. Coupled with the test questions, it also displays nicely how usage of these devices could be inappropriate depending on a certain situation. This unit I would say has been the most technical unit thus far in the course because I really had no idea before reading it what types of information a student would need to know about vocabulary or language functions. I found it beneficial for that reason.This was a very interesting and practical unit on how to actually teach in the class, the teacher uses a straight arrow ESA approach. The first video was very unprofessional and lacking interest both of the teacher and the student, the second video demonstrates an invested teacher with influential attitude and connecting the whole class with the pace of the teacher. The elicitation and drilling was perfect. Attitude is what makes the difference. A confident teacher with excellent control and body language, creativity and lesson plan makes the class goes perfectly well.
