There was a lot of new information in this unit. I knew the importance of seating arrangements and the different types of group work but I didn't realize that there were so many options for each. This unit did well explaining them, along with each pros and cons. I didn't realize the weight of eye contact, gestures, and the voice when interacting with students. I learned a lot about that. I also learned about how to handle students with problem behaviors. I have had a few in the past; reading that section was very eye opening and gave me a few pointers for future reference.This unit describes the 'hard copy' material used by both student and teacher within the classroom and also for homework activities. It is normal practice for course books to be provided for use throughout the duration of the course, but invariably additional material will be integrated into most lessons, which can be a mixture of authentic and creative material. This additional material will be chosen by the teacher to supplement and enhance the students learning process generally by providing added interest, stimulation and relevance to the particular group of students.
