It's been a good refresher for me to go over the past and present conditionals in this unit, because as a native English speaker, this just comes naturally off my tongue, and I don't think about the rules associated with why I'm speaking that way. However, I do know for a student that is new to learning English, it's important to have the building blocks to answer and give concrete examples why we speak this way. I know for me when I'm learning a new language, I sometime need to understand the rules behind the why, because it gives me a broader view, and helps my comprehension.This unit examines the different language methodologies that have been used in the past and are still used in the classroom. The learning style taught by this TEFL learning program is Engage, Study and Activate. This learning method encourages students to participate in language learning, instructs them on the details of grammar and sentence structure and then engages them in using what they have learned in an open setting that is free of criticism and too much correction. This unit highlights the different ESA methods and many activities that can be used during the lessons.
