In my opinion teaching Phonetics is a difficult thing to do because there are many different sounds in every word, and the teacher has to be very familiar with the all the sounds or phonemes of the words, but is just a matter of practice and study. It is very important to implement teaching phonetics because students need to learn to identify the different sounds in the words, but also they can improve in writing words that are pronounce the same but are written differently or vice versa. This unit has motivated me to start teaching phonetics to my students. It was a great unit!Future tenses in English are quite complicated as there are so many tenses that can be used with future meaning.
It is important to remember that also the present simple and continuous can have a future meaning.
The present simple usually suggests more formal situation and is mainly used for timetables and schedules, while the present continuous is for decisions and plans with no specific time frame.
Students have to familiarise themselves with the different forms and usages.
Specific exercises can be organised to provide the students with a better understanding of this topic.
