This lessons was about understanding the needs of learners who are not only at different levels of English understanding, but also are learning English for different reasons. I feel like it would be challenging but also really interesting to teach the older, business learners; to learn about people's jobs and intentions. I was interested in the section on teaching individual students as well, since one of the things I was worried about was having to adapt to the needs of students with varying abilities and levels of understanding.This unit discussed classroom management. Specifically, the do's and don't's of how to effectively organize and manage the class and the manner in which you carry yourself, all while maintaining appropriate disciplinary methods. I learned that there are several different components when looking at how to organize classroom seating, as well as pairing or grouping students together. Everything must be paid attention to, the school's code of conduct should be followed, and it is very important that rapport is built with the students.
