This unit covered how to deal with a variety of problems that English teachers commonly encounter, and included suggestions on how to handle the first day of teaching, large classes, and reluctant students among other things. This lesson was interesting because it included lots of practical advice that is sure to be useful in my career as an English teacher. I thought the section on how to introduce yourself on the first day of class was especially helpful.Figuring out how well and the why the students want to learn English is a key way to help them improve. Of the teacher has no idea why and how the student are doing well or bad then there will be no progress at all. I agree that giving out written test are not always the best thing because that information is easy to forget once taken. You should be testing them verbally or in activities making sure that they have understood. As well over a duration of time.
